AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS PRESENTS THE AS1, ITS NEW SMART MODULAR BARRIER

AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS, one of the world leaders in automating secure access control for pedestrians and vehicles, has announced the launch of its new vehicle barrier : the AS1.

The AS1 boasts a completely new sleek and modern design, combining top-of-the-range materials with the brand’s unique, elegant light signature. The modular and adaptable barrier rests on a base equipped with customisable options to meet customers’ specific requirements. Its adaptable base means it can be integrated into existing installations – without the need for major works or civil engineering – making modernisation projects easier and reducing integration costs.

The AS1 is reliable and powerful, with a brushless motor tested for ten million cycles, lifting booms of up to seven metres. Its robust design incorporates pedestrian protection and optimised visibility thanks to integrated LEDs and optional boom lighting. The barrier is connected, smart and cyber-secure, and offers predictive maintenance and statistical monitoring to anticipate servicing needs and optimise operation. From the outset, the AS1 has been designed to minimise its environmental impact, with a focus on reducing energy consumption and using recyclable and sustainable construction materials such as aluminium.

The AS1 sums up AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS’ world-renowned expertise and forms the basis for our future developments. This new barrier includes the very best of our technologies while offering the modularity required to meet our customers’ specific needs,” said Nicolas Saillé, CEO of AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS.

The AS1 barrier will be exhibited from 12 to 14 January 2026 at Intersec Dubai (UAE), one of the world’s leading trade fairs for security and protection. The new barrier was also shortlisted for the Intersec Awards in the “Best Perimeter Security Solutions” category.
